Proferlo is an Auckland furniture manufacturer and retailer, selling through its Westgate showroom and online, with delivery nationwide. The business makes its furniture in-house and sells direct, cutting out the middleman to keep quality high and prices sharp.
It's a model that has made Proferlo a fast-growing name in New Zealand's home furniture market – and one that puts the brand in front of customers both in store and on screen.
Proferlo was growing quickly with no lifecycle marketing to show for it. They asked Atlas to build a Klaviyo programme from the ground up: capture new leads, convert first-time buyers, and drive retention through automation and campaigns. Because the business trades both online and in store through Shopify POS, the programme had to serve both from day one – not treat in-store customers as an afterthought.
Starting from nothing cuts both ways.
There was nothing to unpick, but also no historical performance, no list behaviour and no baseline to learn from – the setup had to be right first time. It also had to bridge two selling environments, giving POS customers a path into the same lifecycle as online shoppers.
It needed to produce revenue quickly, without a long ramp-up, while still standing up as infrastructure the business could grow into.
Our Commerce Strategy and Customer Experience & Retention teams built the programme with two horizons in view: immediate revenue impact and a foundation for long-term growth.
Rather than launching everything at once, we prioritised the moments where customer intent is highest and the return arrives fastest – capture, welcome, and one well-supported promotional moment. Every flow was mapped to a specific point in the customer journey, with dedicated POS versions built wherever the in-store customer needed a different path through.
A complete suite of automated flows went live across online and in-store, with the Welcome flow quickly becoming the single largest revenue driver in the account. A new branded pop-up was designed and launched to capture subscribers and funnel them straight into that Welcome series – and it generated results immediately.
On top of the automation, we executed a promotional campaign strategy to support a key sale. Emails were designed, built, QA'd, approved and scheduled in advance, ensuring consistent brand presentation and maximum revenue from the promotion. The sale outperformed comparable promotions the business had run before.
The Results:
- 187% total store revenue growth in the four months following launch – nearly 2.8x net sales versus the four months prior
- Mid-six-figure revenue from automated flows, May–September 2025
- 28% more revenue from a promotional campaign compared with similar past promotions
This is what unified commerce looks like at the retention layer: one customer record, one lifecycle, whether the sale happens in the Auckland showroom or on the site.
